Historic Film Locations in the Heart of Canterbury

The King’s School, Canterbury is Europe’s oldest public school, dating back to 597 AD. Renamed in 1541 by King Henry VIII, the school has a rich, vibrant history. The school’s most popular commercial venues offer a different historic backdrop for your shoot, ranging from authentic 12th century school buildings to Tudor barns and a Victorian theatre with industrial modern interiors.

We pride ourselves on being a film friendly location, available for exclusive production hire outside of the academic calendar. Whether you are looking for a feature film location or the ideal backdrop for a TV series or photo shoot, The King’s School, Canterbury has the space and expertise to accommodate your filming requirements.

Each location offers ample secure onsite parking, perfect for Unit Base, cast, crew and SA parking requirements. Production vehicles can be left overnight subject to prior agreement.
